Decker’s force of quality employees including excellence-committed management, strong leadership, coaching by supervisors and an informed workforce is the foundation of our health, safety and environmental programs.  Accident prevention and the wellbeing of its employees are an integral part of Decker’s operations and vital to the continued competitiveness and progress of the company.  It is the basic responsibility of each employee to be constantly concerned with his or her safety as well as the safety of fellow workers and associates.

Decker is completely committed to “zero injuries” by the elimination of all unsafe conditions and/or the unsafe behavior of all employees.  We believe in eliminating all accidents through effective management, active employee involvement, training and teamwork.  Accident prevention and the conduct of safe operations are the direct responsibilities of all employees.  Every employee of our company must accept this responsibility.

It is the policy of Decker to follow operating procedures that will result in safe working conditions as well as efficient operations.  Accident prevention at Decker is fully integrated into all of its operations.  It is the basic responsibility of every Decker employee to remove, guard and/or warn of any and all unsafe conditions, unsafe equipment and/or unsafe behavior immediately.

No job or procedure is so important that it must be performed so quickly that our employees or any person on location cannot follow prudent safety precautions to protect themselves, their fellow employees and members of the public.  Decker believes that no job is done well unless it is done safely.  Our goal is to prevent all accidents.  We expect and rely on each employee to actively support and implement these safety policies and procedures.
